![]() I’m not denying that it has that potential, I’ve been on both ends. Dirty Rat IS a card with “win the game on turn 2” potential. I think a card that does the same job adequately could be designed significantly better. Since Priest seems to be getting all the Core Set built around him, how about we revert Theotar so i can see him conceding after i steal his Vision of Darkness. The Power Level right now between the cards is ludicrous. But with the Rat there is no tempo loss, he just finales the Rat and now you have to get through a 3/8 Taunt on top.Īnd how did i forget, you can run 2 Dirty Rats while Theotar is a Legendary. Priest copying it 10 times in a game, to make sure you won’t get to enjoy playing any card.Ī by far stronger Theotar, because if Priest wants to copy Theotar it’s an 8 mana tempo loss. At least back in the day there would be the chance that the opponent wins because Rat would pull a big minion that can’t be answered, something which is never the case now. At this point of the game there is no chance that the Rat player gets punished by the effect because of these cheap removal spells. The days that Dirty Rat was healthy for the game are long gone, Priest just drops this on you on 3 and he is able to kill your huge win condition for 1 mana after. Apparently Theotar is too toxic as a 4 mana 3/3, but Dirty Rat is okay.
